Restored Loom

We purchased a Weaver's Delight Loom by Newcomb Loom Company last fall and we just finished restoring this treasure. Newcomb started making looms in 1890, but our loom was made in 1963.  I warped the loom for the first time yesterday and started weaving a scarf.  The loom is semi-automatic meaning that the loom's gears toss the shuttle back and forth each time the beater is replaced.  Also, the harnesses are changed each time the beater is pulled (no peddles).  Pretty fancy!  I can't wait to make a bunch of items for my family.
